About Us
The DCES Group is an international association of project developers and specialist engineers with the common goal of developing battery storage systems to stabilize the energy supply.
Since 2014, DCES Group founders Jens Schmidthammer and Peter Arnold have been observing, analyzing, and advising on the stand-alone battery storage market and decided to develop projects themselves with their partners until they were ready for construction—starting cautiously with smaller medium-voltage projects on behalf of customers and progressing to large-scale high-voltage projects.
Today, DCES companies focus on the development and implementation of large-scale battery storage systems in the extra-high voltage range—an important and necessary step toward securing the energy transition and thus also toward energy policy independence.
Founders
The founders are accompanied by a powerful team of specialists consisting of engineers, architects, economists, lawyers, and more.
Jens Schmidthammer is the founder and Managing Director of DCES Consult GmbH, based in Zug, Switzerland. DCES’s consulting mandates include large industrial companies in the energy sector. Schmidthammer has been paying particular attention to the battery storage market for ten years, also with his own project developments.
He hold a degree in law.
Peter manages the European business. Among other things, he is responsible for the company’s electrical engineering division.
Previously, he successfully developed, planned and realized numerous large-scale PV systems worldwide, also as Managing Director of AIS Solar in Germany, and operates them.
