About us
dces is an international association of project developers and specialist engineers with the common goal of developing battery storage systems to stabilize the energy supply.
Since 2014, founder Jens Schmidthammer and his Swiss company dces have been observing, analyzing and advising the battery storage market and ultimately developing it themselves with partners.
dces GmbH focuses on the development and realization of large-scale battery storage systems, especially in the high-voltage and extra-high voltage range – as the most important step towards securing the energy transition and thus also towards energy independence.
Our management team
Behind the three heads is a powerful team of specialists consisting of engineers, architects, economists, lawyers and more.
Jens Schmidthammer is the founder and Managing Director of DCES Consult GmbH, based in Zug, Switzerland. DCES’s consulting mandates include large industrial companies in the energy sector. Schmidthammer has been paying particular attention to the battery storage market for ten years, also with his own project developments.
He hold a degree in law.
Peter manages the European business together with Florian. Among other things, he is responsible for the company’s electrical engineering division.
Previously, he successfully developed, planned and realized numerous large-scale PV systems worldwide, also as Managing Director of AIS Solar in Germany, and operates them.
Florian manages the European business together with Peter. Among other things, he is responsible for all of the company’s development services.
Previously, he held management positions in the European construction and real estate industry as well as in project development and project management; most recently as Managing Director Germany and Northern Europe at Currie & Brown.
He holds an engineer degree and is a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects.
